Hi I'm Gary — a self-taught developer.
I started teaching myself to code toward the end of 2024 with The Odin Project and freeCodeCamp. Since then, I've completed TOP's Full Stack JavaScript Track, Angela Yu's Complete Web Dev Bootcamp, IBM's 11-Course Data Analyst Professional Certificate, and certifications like the AWS CLF-C02 and AWS AIF-C01.
Along with other resources like Scrimba, DataCamp, and Cyfrin Updraft, they helped me build skills in full-stack development, AI engineering, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
Currently, I'm focused on the application layer and parts of the infrastructure layer. To that end, I'm learning how to build LLM-driven features in Scrimba's AI Engineering Path, practicing backend and devops with Full Stack Open, and working towards my AWS MLA-C01 Machine Learning Engineer Associate certification.
Background
I graduated from Northwestern in 2020 and also attended Georgetown's School of Foreign Service. Since graduating, I have been involved in capital markets fundraising, acquisition financing, and M&A advisory for public companies, as well as pitching and fundraising for early stage startups.
